Item Donations

Thank you for thinking of the women and children of Haven Hills for your donations. Many of our shelter residents leave with only the clothes they are wearing. We provide everything they need for their 30-day stay in our Crisis Shelter including furniture, linens, food, dishes and cookware. When they leave, we may allow them to take some of these items to use to start their own households, thereby creating a constant need for replenishing. While we can always use dishes, pots and pans, small appliances and utensils, we have a limited need for clothing and very restricted storage space. Therefore, we ask that you call Refugio Sanchez, Facilities Manager at (818) 887-7481 ext 17 to discuss our current needs.

We ask anyone who wants to donate items to make an appointment to drop these off at our Service Center. This allows us to plan for incoming items and make arrangements to get the items to our shelters. Critical Needs

Sleeper Sofas

Our shelter apartments sleep up to 6 people - each has one bedroom with built-bunk beds (sleeps 4) and we have sleeper sofas in the living room to for 2 more people. As you can imagine, these sofas get a great deal of use. Not only is it the only place to sit in the room but often the children want to sleep with mom on these sofas. The sofas we currently have are in terrible shape - most are unusable as beds. We need 6 double-size sleeper sofas.
