The programs and services provided to victims of domestic violence are dependent on the support of members of the community. Individuals, corporations and foundations are a vital part of our success in helping victims break the cycle of violence. While a large part of our budget comes from state and local government grants, the amount has been steadily decreasing over the past several years. We need your financial support to continue to offer safety and counseling to victims struggling to rebuild their lives. Thank you for your generosity. Build a legacy through planned giving
Providing for a gift to Haven Hills in your estate planning creates opportunities for you and the families we help. There are many options from which you can choose that will balance what you wish to accomplish for yourself, your family and Haven Hills in your overall estate and financial plans. For an outline of these options, click here.
Send a tribute to a friend or family member in honor of a birthday, anniversary, graduation, retirement – any occasion! Or, honor a friend’s recent loss with a tribute in memory of a loved one. We send a beautiful card to the honoree (with no amount listed) and a letter thanking you for the donation. This is a terrific, easy way to support victims of domestic violence while honoring those you cherish. For more information click here.
Thank you for thinking of the women and children of Haven Hills for your donations. Many of our shelter residents leave with only the clothes they are wearing. We provide everything they need for their 30-day stay in ourCrisis Shelter including furniture, linens, food, dishes and cookware. When they leave, we may allow them to take some of these items to use to start their own households, thereby creating a constant need for replenishing. While we can always use dishes, pots and pans, small appliances and utensils, we have a limited need for clothing and very restricted storage space. Therefore, we ask that you call Refugio Sanchez, Facilities Manager at (818) 887-7481 ext 17 or click here to see a list of our current needs.
